Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Fodoo (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile application All PDF Reader (the “App”). By installing or using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Your documents and files

• All PDF and document processing — opening, viewing, searching, merging, splitting, converting, compressing, unlocking with a password you supply — happens locally on your device.
• We do not upload your files to our servers, we have no servers that receive them, and we do not read, share, or sell their contents.
• Passwords you enter to open a protected PDF are used in memory only for that operation and are not transmitted anywhere.
• Recently opened, favourite, and bookmarked file entries are stored only in the App’s local storage on your device and are removed when you clear the App’s data or uninstall it.

2. Information collected automatically

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, address, phone number, or email address unless you choose to email us. Our service providers may automatically collect:

• Device and technical data — device model, manufacturer, operating system version, language, region/country, screen characteristics, network connection type.
• Advertising identifiers — Android Advertising ID (AAID), App Set ID, and IP address, used to serve and measure advertisements and to prevent ad fraud.
• Usage and event data — which screens are opened, which features are used, session length, and other aggregated interaction events.
• Diagnostics and crash data — stack traces, error logs, and device state at the time of a crash.
• Purchase status — if you buy the ad-free/premium upgrade, Google Play tells the App whether the purchase is active. Payment details are handled entirely by Google Play and are never seen by us.

3. How the information is used

• To operate, maintain, and improve the App’s features and performance.
• To display advertisements, including personalised ads where you have consented, and to measure their performance.
• To detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and bugs.
• To understand aggregated usage patterns and decide which features to build next.
• To measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns (install attribution).
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and technical misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your documents for any purpose whatsoever.

4. Third-party services

The App integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each of them acts as an independent controller or processor of the data it collects, under its own privacy policy:

5. Advertising and your choices

• The App is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob and its partner ad networks.
• If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the App’s settings (“Privacy options” / “Ad consent”).
• You can limit ad tracking system-wide in Android Settings → Google → Ads, where you may also delete or reset your Advertising ID.
• Purchasing the ad-free upgrade, where available, removes advertising from the App.
• Google’s list of ad partners is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Our authorised sellers are listed in our app-ads.txt file.

6. Permissions the App requests

You may refuse or later revoke any permission in Android system settings; some features will then be unavailable.

7. Data retention and security

Locally stored data (settings, recent-file entries, cached thumbnails) remains on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it. Data collected by the third-party services listed above is retained according to their own retention schedules — typically between 2 and 26 months for analytics and advertising data. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we handle, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to data portability (GDPR), or the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the “sale”/“sharing” of personal information (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad personalisation you consent to.

• To delete local data: clear the App’s storage or uninstall the App.
• To opt out of ad personalisation: use the in-app privacy options or your Android ad settings.
• To exercise any other right: email us at the address below. We respond within 30 days. Because we do not maintain accounts, please describe your request in enough detail for us to act on it.

10. International data transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the providers’ own safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be announced in the App or in the store listing. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
